ABOUT

Ruby Rare has spent a decade as one of the UK's leading voices in sex and relationships education. And she's not done yet.

Her career began teaching Relationships and Sex Education in schools and managing condom distribution schemes across five London boroughs (giving out 200,000 condoms in a year - yes, really). In 2020, she shifted gears to bring her educational knowledge to adult audiences.

She's the author of two books: Sex Ed: A Guide for Adults (Bloomsbury, 2020) and The Non-Monogamy Playbook (Ebury, 2025), hosted E4's Sex Rated, and is Feeld's official Intimacy Expert. In 2025, she worked with BPAS on a successful campaign for abortion reform in England and Wales.

Ruby's work is rooted in a simple but radical belief: that shame is the biggest barrier to connection, and knowledge is the antidote. She covers the full spectrum - consent, pleasure, queerness, kink, non-monogamy, trans inclusion, reproductive rights - always from within the communities she represents, not looking in from outside. This combination of professional expertise and lived experience gives her work a rare warmth and credibility.

A proud Brook ambassador and accredited sex educator through ACET UK, Ruby is also currently training as an Intimacy Coordinator with the IPA, bringing her consent-driven, trauma-informed approach to the world of film and TV.

When she's not in full sex-nerd mode, you'll find her sea swimming, cooking Sri Lankan curries, or getting unreasonably enthusiastic about jelly.
